The watch uses the H band app. Signing up for an account is optional. I opted not to have an account. I could also deny access to my contacts and to my location without stopping the app from working. It gives an occasional prompt for permissions which are ignored. The pedometer function in the watch seems to record movements of the arm rather than actual steps. The glucose monitor should be turned off as this does not and cannot work – the technology for accurate non-invasive glucose monitoring does not exist. The seller was helpful with information.
